- The incumbent will be responsible for maximizing advertising revenue for the various publications, bringing in sponsorships and delegates for various events the company conducts.
- It primarily involves space selling for our chemical industry & medical journals. Our clients are chemical engineering equipment companies and drugs & pharma companies.
- Needs interacting with senior to middle management managers/ executives in above companies.
- Involves sending powerful sales letters, telecalling and direct meetings with clients.
- Job is very interesting in the top level interactions it affords & through meetings we have when our journals are invited for press conferences, exhibitions, seminars etc.
- Strategic planning and execution of plans for increasing revenues.
- To gain knowledge of the industry, markets and publications by research and attending relevant events.
- Competitor tracking
- Have to gain a good knowledge of clients, magazines and relevant industries, geographies and markets.
- Generate leads, establish contact and meet potential clients to improve business.
- Convincing clients and negotiating favourable deals.
- Closing the deal and recording the details.
- Building relationships with the clients and servicing them from time to time.
