Introduction:
This role is within the management information and reporting team, which is responsible for delivering a service across all Operations functions to ensure timely delivery of scheduled reporting from the automated reporting system, assist with design and creation of new reports and amendments to existing reports, and enhance the MI capabilities of Operations to support the firm's mission to be "the 'Go To' bank".
What will you be doing?

Understanding Functional Requirements and Create/Modify reports basis requests

• To review the data strategy of the assigned function, identify data gaps and work with Architect team to bridge the gaps
• Responsible for working towards up skilling the team and make effective use of resources available
• Responsible for getting and analysing the initial data for new or enhanced reporting requirements
• Analyse and understand the system architecture and data flow to draft the data requirements, for source team to draft the feed to MI Service
• Responsible for data quality stewardship and streamlining the data structure

User Support

• Manage user escalations on the IT Issues within the infrastructure0020
• Provide support and guidance for new users on the onboarding training (direct to online training material, familiarise with support documentation available, etc.)

Collaboration between Ops and Tech

• Manage Change Requests (capture requirements, update prioritisation queue, track work to completion, organise testing, admin)
• Co-ordinate RTB and BTB IT teams to ensure new development delivery and successful change deployments, etc.

• Oversight of UAT to ensure that quality testing is completed and all issues for the team are resolved
• Key representative from the department to engage in strategic initiatives discussions with colleagues globally and communicate the expected requirements and impact for the team
• Spearhead process improvement initiatives and carry out complex analysis to identify innovative solutions to deliver financial benefits for the firm
• Continual assessment of existing processes to identify innovative ways of improving team efficiency and client service
• Be able to justify any proposals and initiatives, with cost savings, to ensure management buy-in and ultimately the implementation of change

What we're looking for:

• Investment Banking operations domain knowledge and clear understanding of trade life cycle
• Understanding of system data flow and ability to perform extensive data analysis
• Extensive experience with proven track record in working with diverse teams
• Degree level or appropriate industry qualifications with sufficient and relevant experience within a similar / comparable banking environment
• Indepth experience in the management and delivery of a business reporting function including; detailed data analytics (e.g. using API, Tableau, Alteryx, Business Objects); designing reports and reporting processes; internal or external customer support to a high standard
• Innovative with a proven track record of identifying opportunities to drive process improvements, making recommendations to implement and deliver efficiencies within the team
• The successful candidate will have excellent command of the English language with strong written and verbal communication skills and will be able to communicate effectively across all levels.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Highly numerate with analytical problem solving ability
• Be familiar with the criticality and visibility of the management information related to the team and be very comfortable with the methods of preparing and presenting such information for and to senior management.
• Experience of service delivery to external customers (not necessarily banking) and senior stakeholders.
