CommScope is looking to add an Engineer, Supplier Quality to our team in GoaDuties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with Buyers for selecting correct suppliers for CommScope Business
• Supplier evaluation through Risk & Sustainability Audits & Effective closure of Audit NC points before serial production
• Proper review of PRAF with supplier & Engineering to ensure no deviations during FA, by initial manufacturing feasibilities & Drawing corrections before start of Project
• Ensure Quality Management (QM) set-up for each part to initiate FA process
• Ensure Project gates are followed as per CommScope standards (CommScope Supplier Selection Process & Project Management).
• Ensure suppliers trained & guided the standards of Commscope to meet quality & delivery requirement.
• Having a capability to assess suppliers Organization requirement, Technical & Manufacturing capabilities.
• Ensure consistent performance of suppliers through supplier development activities.
• Coordinate FA reviews with IQC Inspectors and be part of the decision-making process for part approval process and coordinate and lead MRB's for Incoming rejects
• On-time completion of PPAP process & FA Approvals in review IQC & Engineering.
• Conduct periodic Audits as per CommScope Audit plan & Ensure continual improvements at Suppliers
• Coordinates actions with operations to ensure that the CommScope quality system procedures meet or exceed applicable ISO/TL standards.
• Review day to day activities with priorities for inspection for regular parts in coordination with Planners/Procurement or with regards to FIFO basis
• Coordinate & Follow up with suppliers to ensure Z2's is closed with proper 8D reports.
• Coordinate with internal customers to ensure smooth flow of production, to ensure no line stoppages
• Conducts training sessions on quality control activities which also includes certification like 7QC Tools, 8D, PFMEA, MSA, SPC etc
• Have ownership for controlling & ensuring Root Cause analysis & preventive actions are implemented for customer & product notification
• Proactive approach by creating and presenting appropriate quality measures
• Process & Product awareness to suppliers
• Constant improvement or reinvestment incorporating best practices for a new systems and current system enhancements
• Able to manage suppliers' representatives often in exacting always circumstances & maintain professional demeanor.
• Ensure monthly supplier KPI's are reviewed & action are initiated for not performed KPI's.
• Should be able to make decision within specified procedures & criteria associated with supplier's surveys, MRBs, deviation authorization, Quality & Product Standards.

You Will Excite Us If You Have:

• Bachelors in Engineering with preferably 9+ years of related experience.
• Commodity Experience-PCBS
• Lean Six sigma green belt/Black belt certification (Good to have)
• Solid understanding of basic and advanced Quality tools such as; Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis, Poke Yoke, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing etc.
• The ability to supervise effectiveness of quality programs and implement corrective action programs on an as needed basis.
• Assertiveness and excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English
• Ability to develop and implement structured QA processes, procedures and CTQ measures in a rapidly changing environment
• Excellent decision-making and interpersonal skills are crucial
• Ability to articulate (verbally & in writing), defend and negotiate Quality expectations with internal and external customers at all levels of management
• Ability to inspire change where required.
• Travel might be required
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, statistical and presentation software
• Preferred proficiency in SAP
