Roles & Responsibilities


Mapping of sales opportunities across the different countries in Africa along with relevant customer categories & products.
To put in a detailed sales & business development plan for each country, on how to penetrate in Africa w.r.t. visible opportunities, modus operandi to pursue, expected turnover, etc.
To prepare a case study as a post facto analysis for each sales plan against respective countries.
Utilize available resources such as tender portals & online forums to identify leads for our product range and pursue them in line with our business policies.
Have the marketing department aligned to assist with lead generation.
Communication: Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs, solving client problems throughout the process/ project
Generating RFP's / RFQ's from customers, offering quotations, identifying the point of contacts to crack the deal, maintaining client contact data, handling techno-commercial discussions, etc. resulting in closing the deal.
Solution Designing: Need identification & understanding the problem statement and propose suitable solution to the client
Ensure timely collection
MIS: Preparing timely reports
Projecting reach by participating in promotional events
Interdepartmental coordination & collaboration: Coordination with Sales Support, Estimation, Purchase, Accounts, Logistics as well as Plants people for smooth execution of the project
Eligibility

Relevant work experience of 7 years doing business development & sales of capital goods.
Knowledge of Africa as a continent & their customers, market dynamics and country specific logistical requirements
