 Title:Manager - Store
 Reports To :Head - Materials & Controls
 Reporting:Unit Storekeepers

Job Summary: Responsible for helping and guiding the unit storekeepers to maintain the required stock level of different items in the All the unit Stores for day-to-day operation.

Nature of Job: Located at Copper Chimney HO. The job involves travelling to units as per requirement.


to conduct audits on all Stores related systems and procedures and correct any deviations.

HR & Administration:
forwarding leave applications of unit storekeepers and arranging the backup as and when required.
planning the roster and allocating job responsibilities.

Policies, Systems and Procedures:
To recommend to the Corporate Head Materials and Controls, any systems and procedures which may streamline the functioning of the Stores. To ensure that all set systems and procedures are followed as laid down and any deviations are corrected promptly.

to ensure that an adequate par stock of all store items is maintained in such a way that no shortage occurs.
to take periodic inventories and identify slow moving items and fast - moving items, dead stock and seasonal usage stock and suggest measures to reduce the inventory for these.
to ensure that all items in the store perishable and others are stored correctly and hygienically, and no spoilage or infections happen.
to determine the reorder levels of each item and generate the purchase indents for the same in good time to avoid stocks running out.
to devise issue timings for each department and ensure that these are followed strictly.
to ensure that the FIFO system is used for issues.
to ensure that all paperwork and requirements of Software are up to date and there are no deviations or shortcuts being used.

Financial Responsibilities:
to monitor and keep as low as possible the inventory of dead stock and slow-moving items.
to provide to various departments the Store issue related issues and information to help them with their budgets.

Development of Staff/Performance Management:

To look into the welfare of staff and address any problems they have in a fair and firm manner
To communicate and share with all the department employees the company's mission vision and policies for staff welfare.
to recommend/suggest the training needs to the HOD.
to maintain discipline within the department.
to ensure that skill related training is conducted for each staff member of the department as per their decided skill set. To encourage multiskilling.
to ensure that the staff in Stores is fully aware of all aspects of the MMS and are totally conversant with its usage.

Safeguard of Assets/Inventory
to maintain all equipment used in the department: Computers, printers, telephones, and all furniture and fixtures.
to do periodic inventories of all items in the stores, category wise.

To prepare all Stores related MIS and put it up to the Corporate Head Materials and Controls for his comments and analysis.

Safety and Security To ensure that all staff members are aware of the following compulsory training and are able to perform this task if required:
1)Fire Fighting
2)First Aid

Key Relationships:

Internal (Coordinating Departments) Production, Operations and Accounts.

External: All vendors.

In addition to the tasks listed above, he/she shall perform any task given to him/her even if it is not be of his/her department. If the need arises, he/she shall have to work in any department that the management wants.
