Main responsibilities

Represent Steinemann brand and values at customer sites
Install, startup and commission new machines and automation systems
Analyze and solve mechanical and electrical problems
Optimize the sanding process (performance and quality)
Modify and upgrade existing machines
Test consumable products (sanding belts and inserts)
Train customers to ensure optimal usage of machinery and consumables
Support the customer in technical belongings (technical support)
Discuss with customers on machine conditions and process issues
Prepare a detailed list of required spare parts and maintenance priorities
Write and submit service reports in a timely and accurate manner
Collaborate with Project Manager and Customer Service Support to follow up with offers of spare parts
Provide inputs and feedback on technical issues to R&D and Engineering
Intensive travel is required across India and occasionally elsewhere

Requirements

Diploma, Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
At least 4 years work experience in machinery and industrial automation related field
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schemes
PLC programming basic understanding of ladder logic will be an advantage
Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair skills
Familiar with MS Office applications
Proactive and efficient in organization and time management
Effective communication and leadership skills at customer site
Good command of English (spoken and written)
Deal with people of different nations
Other Indian languages skills will be an advantage

The successful candidate will be trained by Steinemann personnel in India and remotely. Travel to Steinemann headquarters in Switzerland for advance training is possible later on. We assure absolute discretion and confidentially and look forward to hearing from you.
