The Principal Applications Analyst, Web Product translates customer needs and technology directions into product definition. The individual liaises with Development, Quality Assurance and end users on the functional requirements definition, design, implementation and maintenance of software systems and will often manage multiple complex projects that require input from across functions. The Principal Applications Analyst reviews, analyzes, develops, and modifies functional documentation for business applications. This individual is a leader who works within the web product team to drive software projects from ideation through implementation and maintenance including working on proposals, specifications, wire frames and site maps to help define the user experience for new software applications. The Principal Application Analyst detects, analyzes, diagnoses, reports and resolves problems and enhancement requests associated with applications.
  • Manage multiple complex projects that require coordination between development, QA and product team using Agile methodologies including SCRUM, Kanban, Scaled Agile etc. as required
  • Serves as a mentor, subject-matter expert, and a technical project lead who coordinates project-based activities of other personnel
  • Provide recommendations for and leads continuous improvement in both application functionality and internal software development processes
  • Lead complex business processes and technical architectures for the purpose of creating and documenting systems for optimal development and maintenance.
  • Work with product manager to execute user feedback exercises, including focus groups and usability testing.
  • Work with track leads on other applications to effectively integrate where necessary.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand complex, dynamic business rules, and apply those rules into detailed, specific and comprehensive documentation.
  • Engage end users spanning multiple business units and ensure cohesive articulation of business goals and processes to ensure an effective technological solution.
  • Engage end users to support all necessary clarification for the Project, Development and Production Support teams to design and implement an effective solution.
  • Functional expertise of the systems supported and the development of a framework for system implementation and maintenance.
  • Verification of the feasibility of requested functionality and validation of support for business rules based on existing technical systems and data structures.
  • Review and track online application trends for recommendations and implementation
  • Ability to create and present key requirements artifacts including but not limited to:
    • Scope Document
    • Business Requirements Document
    • Detailed Specification of Key Business Rules
    • Use Cases
    • Wire frames
    • Activity Diagram
    • Business Process Mapping Diagrams and Documentations
    • Gap Analysis
    • User Personas
    • User Scenarios
    • User Stories
    • Simple Low Fidelity Wireframes and Prototypes
    • Presentations (Power Point and Word Documents) for a non-technical business audience

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results under limited supervision
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze complex multi-tiered application implementations and data structures
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple, competing, high-priority projects with varying deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals from different countries and cultures, with a sensitivity to cultural diversity
  • Ability to organize workload for effective implementation of multiple concurrent projects
  • Thorough knowledge of technical aspects of web application development and design including .NET, SQL, HTML, XML, Java / Java script, React Native, React JS
  • Experience with .NET client/server and/or Internet application analysis and implementation
  • Knowledge of Project and Software Development Life Cycle methodologies, including Agile, Kanban, Lean, Waterfall, Scaled Agile frameworks, PMBOK, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of information systems concepts and terminology
  • Strong work ethic with an emphasis on service and quality
  • Motivated self-starter with initiative
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10-20% of the time.

  • 7+ years demonstrated experience in the Technology/IT industry.
  • 7 + years demonstrated experience with Internet application/business analysis on an enterprise wide system.
  • Understanding of enterprise and consumer technology concepts including client/server languages and architectures, ERP systems, CRM, SCM, cloud architectures, web and mobile application development, transactional and non-transactional database concepts, etc.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio
  • Understanding of SEO/SEM, online marketing, content management, user experience, usability, business strategy

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

  • 5+ years project management and/or product management experience
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple, competing, high-priority projects with varying deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Individual and Team Player
  • And/or Masters in any related specialization
  • Added advantages with related certifications
