Oracle P2P is a newly formed multi-disciplined team of experts operating at pace, through qualification, workload scoping, %26ldquo;go%26rdquo; or %26ldquo;no-go%26rdquo; and ultimately delivery across multiple customers in parallel.
The P2P program made up of architects, cloud specialists, cloud implementation specialists and project managers. The P2P Cloud Implementation team is allowing you to work in an international work environment in which you collaborate not only with customers across the EMEA Region but also colleagues from various functions that all have the same goal of a successful customer.

Role Summary
Your mission will be to be an integral part of a P2P implementationand be involved in the customer engagement from validating workloads through to successful implementation:

Multi cloud connectivity (e.g. Oracle to Azure/AWS)

Networking Knowledge with Switches, Routers %26ndash; (like Cisco, Juniper), IPSEC %26amp; SSL VPNs, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls etc.

Network Certification preferred, like CCNA, CCNP

Working as an implementer of P2P projects you will be part of a versatile team of specialists. Collaborating with your peers, P2P Workload Architects as well as country based Sales and Consulting teams will be critical to execute the delivery model.
On a Day to day basis you will participate in either one or more concurrent engagements, to grow a cloud business for Oracle. Typical P2P projects include: DB or applications move to cloud, reporting, autonomous DB, machine learning, analytics, high performance computing and many more.
You will be focused on customer success and results-oriented. You will be focused to deliver high quality with your technical expertise and your communication skills, in order to create an outstanding experience for your customers.
What does a P2P delivery look like?
With opportunities provided by our cloud sales org, the P2P Team will engage with the customer to %26lsquo;unpack%26rsquo; the business challenge (for example Analytics) and architectural scope into a delivery plan that we can align with the customer%26rsquo;s expectations. It is likely you will have already been in the loop with the customer during the %26ldquo;sales cycle%26rdquo;. Once we have a deal signed with the customer, you will work with the customer and the wider P2P Team to ensure we create a short sharp %26lsquo;WOW%26rsquo; delivery experience for our customers in approx. 50days

OCI skills:

Good understanding of the IT market landscape %26amp; trends

You are working in an IT related role today (Consulting, Solution Engineering, Technical Support, Development)

You have a good architectural understanding of all technical aspects of a cloud solution including networking, security, resilience and connectivity

You have experience working with fault tolerant, highly available, high throughput, distributed, scalable systems

You have a good understanding of the following areas:

• Knowledge of cloud compute and Storage Technologies


• Experience in Virtualization (Oracle VM preferred)


• Experience in Infrastructure automation through Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Packer or similar


• Hands on experience on any one cloud %26ndash; AWZ, Azure , Google or Oracle is a must


• Good understanding of Database and related technologies


• Expertise in cloud networking will be a big plus


• Experience with containerization and virtualization technologies such as Docker, containers and Kubernetes


• Cloud security (Certifications such as CISSP preferred)


• Experience using or managing Windows, Linux and other OS on cloud.


• Scripting such as Shell, Power Shell, Python


• Experience in Backup Procedures %26amp; Tools


• Experience in Systems %26amp; Log Monitoring tools such as Nagios, Splunk etc


• Experience on working with HPC %26ndash; High Performance Computing is good to have.

Engages with the Technical Sales Teams, prospects and customers to ensure business needs can be addressed with OCI%26rsquo;s capabilities.

Listen, understand, and analyze business requirements and compose, validate, and present the best possible OCI solution.

Keep up to date with any new OCI based solution or capability. Understand functionality and interoperability of solutions across the OCI portfolio.

OCI Certification Foundation / Architect / professional is an added advantage.

Others:

Total experience: Minimum of 8 years and above.

Work experience in a similar role is an added advantage.

Technical/IT education, university degree with post-graduation, Engineering Degree.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
