  • The job holder is a member of an independent, professional Quality Assurance (QA) function who will work with the QA Leads and Partners to enhance the function%27s data analytics and reporting capabilities.
  • The QA Data Analytics and Reporting role reports directly to the Global Head, QA and is responsible for providing support to the Global Head, QA in managing the Group Internal Audit (GIA) QA function in accordance with the GIA Methodology, Group's Internal Audit Charter and the IIA Standards. This includes monitoring and reporting on all QA deliverables and the coordination of key QA reporting to the GIA Management Team and Audit Committee.
  • The QA Data Analytics and Reporting role will also be responsible for designing and developing automated scripts to allow the QA team to execute data analytical programs for similar or recurring quality assurance reviews
  • Supports the delivery of the strategy and development of the broader GIA function through providing insights to the Global Head QA and other QA Leads.
  • The role holder will also be required to conduct periodic quality assurance reviews on key aspects GIA's data analytics programme

  • The QA Data Analytic and Reporting hire will be expected to make a strong and proactive contribution across all core QA activities including:
  • Identifying data analytical routines that can be developed to meet similar objectives across multiple Quality Assurance Reviews, to maximise return on investment
  • Establishing relationships with data owners to gain understanding of available resources, flow of information and ways in which information can be leveraged in the QA process.
  • Contributing to the design, development, testing and documentation of programs to assist in population and scoping analysis, sampling, testing, and issue impact justification.
  • Developing automated scripts to allow QA team to execute data analytical programs for similar or recurring quality assurance reviews.
  • Contributing to the design and implementation of effective continuous monitoring and quality assurance auditing strategies.
  • Providing insight and guidance on the interpretation of reported exceptions/analytics outputs so that appropriate actions can be taken by the QA teams.
  • Compiling with data standards and information security policies
  • Developing innovative, re-usable tools, scripts and solutions that can be leveraged by the QA team.
  • Support the Global Head, QA in preparing any internal and external MI packs, and presentations as needed for a variety of forums, ensuring that key points are made in a focused, accurate and concise way and that key messages from them can be readily captured and cascaded by others.

  • Business:
    • Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates.
    • Develop a strong understanding of the internal audit quality assurance standards and requirements within the financial services sector.
    • Deliver timely, effective and impactful written and verbal communications with key stakeholders on the progress of QA activity.

    • Execute and report upon GIA quality assurance reviews, quality audits, identification and reporting of gaps and process improvement activities.
    • Assist in the information gathering and preparation of the periodic summary reports by QA to GIA senior management and the audit committee (including reports of the results of internal and external quality assessments and improvement programs).
    • Assist in the development, implementation and execution of the QA and Quality management framework
    • Assist in the development, administration and maintenance of QA standards, policies and procedures.
    • Assist QA team, the Governance and Delivery team and other GIA staff in preparing for and participating in external assessment conducted by regulators and other third parties.
    • Participate in ongoing assessment processes e.g. GIA strategic projects or operational programs as agreed and directed by Group Head of GIA and/or Global Head, QA.
    • Execute and report upon special project or ad-hoc work as directed by the Global Head, QA and /or GHoA. Ability to take the lead on core projects and handle complexity with minimal supervision, as required.

    Risk Management:
    • Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring risks to GIA and the Group. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing GIA and the Group and the role the individual plays in managing them.

    • Stay informed of the GIA audit strategy and audit coverage, to corroborate compliance with the highest standards of regulatory conduct and compliance practices as defined by internal and external requirements.
    • Maintain awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group and GIA operates and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
    • Embed the Group's values and Code of Conduct in Group Internal Audit QA team to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations among employees' form part of the culture.

    • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.     • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
