Amazon AWS Data Architect is responsible for delivering Data On Cloud projects for future Amazon AWS products. Candidate will also be responsible for developing and delivering AWS cloud solutions to deliver future products in areas such as AI ML, IoT, advanced analytics, open source, enterprise collaboration, microservices, serverless, etc. AWS Technical Data Architect is responsible for delivering Cloud based Big Data and Analytical Solutions. Responsibilities include evangelizing data on cloud solutions, working with Onshore Architect and Business SME teams to design a robust, secure and optimized AWS architecture and ability to be hands-on delivering the products solution. This role will work with SMEs, product owners, client architects and lead data engineers in delivering big data solutions on cloud.

Minimum of 5+ years of Consulting or client service delivery experience on Amazon AWS (AWS) aligned to Data Solutions
Minimum of 12+ years of experience in big data, database and data warehouse architecture and delivery
Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in the following areas:
- Solution/technical architecture in the cloud
- Big Data/analytics/information analysis/database management in the cloud
- IoT/event-driven/microservices in the cloud
- Experience with private and public cloud architectures, pros/cons, and migration considerations.
- Extensive hands-on experience implementing data migration and data processing using AWS services:
AWS Storage Services
- Redshift, RDS, Aurora, Neptune, DynamoDB, S3, etc
AWS Event Services
- Kinesis, Kafka, Nifi, Firehose, etc
AWS Data Analytics Services
- Lambda, Spark, Glue, EMR, Sage Maker, AI/ML, API GW, etc
Other AWS Services
- VPC/SG, EC2, AutoScaling, CloudFormation, LakeFormation, DMS, Cloudtrail, CloudWatch, Docker, etc

- Familiar with the On Prem Big Data Technology stack available in the industry for data management, data ingestion, capture, processing and curation: Kafka, Map Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Hbase, Spark, HBase, Druid etc.
- Strong in Python, Spark, PySpark, Unix shell/Perl scripting

Bonus points if you have:

- DevOps on an AWS platform. Multi-cloud experience is a plus.
- Experience developing and deploying ETL solutions on AWS
- Familiarity with the technology stack available in the industry for metadata management: Data Governance, Data Quality, MDM, Lineage, Data Catalog etc.
