KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Background to the position:

Reporting into SVP Sales, you will be responsible to open new opportunities, leveraging your existing rolodex to deliver revenue and booking targets. In this high-touch sale, you will use your consultative listening and selling skills to thoroughly understand our prospects and clients businesses and how Zeta's solutions can help them achieve their strategies.

Position summary & key accountabilities:

This is a newly created growth position adding to our existing team. The Sales Director will be responsible for securing new sales and contracts from large to mid-d banks (top 150) and credit unions (top 50) in the US market. This is a senior seasoned individual contributor role and has the potential to grow into a sales management role as the company expands in the US.

Key Responsibilities:

* Managing Key Account targets, identify, engage and close 2-3 'Zeta reference clients' - early adopters to gain competitive market advantage with Zeta solutions.
* Meet and exceed targets: number of contracts signed in the 1st year.
* Develop, manage, and maintain strong, active consultative relationships with executive-level prospects and clients.
* Thoroughly understand your clients' business and objectives and strategize with Zeta's product, business development, and senior management team members to identify new opportunities and solutions.
* Responsible for the entire sales cycle: discovery, contact, qualification, product presentation(s), contract and pricing negotiations, partnering with the delivery team on the implementation and go-live of Zeta solutions.
* Working closely with the Operations team to see the implementation of each contract from start to end
* Working closely with Marketing to create and execute Marketing Plan for each target segment
* Manage Key Relationships with partners & stakeholders. Ensuring Zeta's visibility across portfolio partners.
* Participating in banking and fintech industry events.

YEAR ONE CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS

In this individual contributor role you will be will be required to:

* Rapidly establish credibility with Zeta your prospect based (named accounts)
* Build a pipeline of prospect opportunities that lead to 3 to 5 proposals.
* Close at least 1 to 2 contracts within the first year.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate should have the following skills and attributes:

Experience
* A dynamic sales contributor with proven success in the financial services industry, selling into mid to large banks and credit unions.
* Minimum 10 years of experience serving financial institutions or processors in relationship management and/or business development roles for fintech software/solutions companies.
* Strong rolodex of executive level decision makers in the US Banking industry
* Financial services industry contacts at consulting partners, consortiums and influencing entities.
* Technology acumen and ability to develop a solid understanding of Zeta's products and services.
* Demonstrated track record of success in building and maintaining relationships with executives at banks and credit unions.
* Financial acumen and understanding of banking business models.
* Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude.
* Organized, detail oriented, flexible, self-starter and highly motivated.

Specific knowledge
* Knowledge of the Banking and Credit Unions systems and solutions.
* Deep domain knowledge of market landscape and understanding of core banking systems and related ecosystem of payments, credit card, issuing services, fraud, digital and related solutions.

Location
* No constraints in location of US-based Sales Director, but must be willing to travel.
* Zeta US headquarters based in the San Francisco area.

* Strong business acumen, problem-solving ability, and tech savvy
* Strong stakeholder relationship management skills - able to influence and manage the expectations of senior executives internally and externally.
* Adaptable, approachable, open-minded with a clear understanding of the business The incumbent must bring the ability and orientation to contribute beyond his scope of work. Ability to perform as an individual contributor (in-direct team leader) or as a manager with direct reports.
* Strong ability, aptitude, and desire to network and to earn the confidence of diverse senior client leaders in marketing, sales, product, technology, operations, finance and procurement functions.
* Excellent communication skills - written and verbal - comfortable presenting to 'c' level and boards.
* Creative, positive, and collaborative problem solver.
* Hands on, i.e. 'roll-up-your sleeve' type

EDUCATION
* MBA from an accredited, top tier institution is not required but highly desired
